My dream of becoming an artist began by returning to school at the age of 53 to earn a BFA degree in Studio Art from Sam Houston State University. I had the fabulous opportunity to do summer studies in Mexico (1998) and Italy (1999) that broadened my ideas that all things are possible.
For the next 7 years, I worked with high school students in Manassas, Virginia. It was a very thrilling time for me to witness their own discoveries through artistic expression.
My next opportunity for growth was in moving to Arizona to develop my own art where I discovered my passion for clay. Finally, after another 7 years, I felt like I could show my work.
This picture was taken at the 2015 Arizona Fine Art Expo for 10 weeks in Scottsdale. I hope you will enjoy viewing my ideas...........................Please know, how GRATEFUL and HAPPY I AM!
